"Fifty Shades" Minus One

It seems like only a month ago that I put up a post about the casting for the movie version of "Fifty Shades Of Grey".  (It was actually five weeks ago--but why be picky?)  Charlie Hunnam of "Sons of Anarchy" had been cast as Christian Grey, with Dakota Johnson cast as Anastasia.

Now word has come down that Charlie Hunnam has dropped out of the movie, leaving the film Grey-less.

The official word was that the shooting schedule for "Sons of Anarchy" was too complicated to work around, making it impossible for the actor to manage both.

Does anyone actually believe that?  Can you say, "Hollywood Publicist Spin"?  Maybe he finally saw an actual script.....

Anyway, the movie is now back to square one in searching for someone to play the lead character.  And where the success of the movie is going to largely be based on the chemistry between the two leads, I can't help but wonder if Dakota Johnson will remain connected to the project.

Stay tuned....same spank-time, same spank-channel!
